How to Open an Account

You can open an account two different ways:

• By coming to Young Americans Bank (we always prefer this!) 

• By mail (for customers outside of Colorado) 

Basic things you'll need:

If you're under 18, you'll need:

• A sponsoring adult (usually a parent or relative) who will co-sign on your account
• A state or government issued photo ID for the sponsoring adult
• Your Social Security number and your sponsoring adult's Social Security number
• An opening deposit

 If you're 18 or older, you'll need:

• A state or government issued photo ID
• Your Social Security number
• An opening deposit
