Owning a Business Tool Kit

Owning a Business Tool Kit is offered through Rural Young Americans Center and in outreach areas throughout northeastern Colorado.  It includes eight basic business/entrepreneur lessons including market research, competition, pricing, sales and promotion, to hiring employees.  These hands-on mini-seminars are offered to youth entrepreneurs, ages 10 and up at no cost.  A $10 workbook is available to all participants.

After completion of the eight basic entrepreneur lessons, young entrepreneurs will have an opportunity to receive startup funds for their business by preparing their business plan and presenting to a grants committee.  The startup funds provide a great opportunity for young business owners to begin or enhance a business taking it to the next level.

In addition, there will be a midsummer Business Development workshop and a fall Success Strategy workshop in preparation for the November 2013 Young Entrepreneur Marketplace held at Rural Young Americans Center in Wray, CO.
